Nicole Powell Nicole Powell, Ph.D.

Dr. Powell is a 2000 graduate of the University of Alabama Clinical Psychology Program, Child Specialty track. She completed her clinical internship training at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. From September, 2000 through May, 2003 she was employed as a staff psychologist at Brewer-Porch Children’s Center, a children’s mental health facility encompassing day treatment, 90-day evaluation, and long- term residential programs. She joined the Coping Power staff in May of 2003.
Caroline Boxmeyer Caroline Boxmeyer, Ph.D.

Dr. Boxmeyer is a Research Scientist and master trainer in the Coping Power program at The University of Alabama.  She joined the Coping Power staff in September of 2004 after completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at University of California, San Diego.  Prior to that, she received an A.B. degree in Psychology magna cum laude from Princeton University and completed a Clinical Psychology internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Dr. Boxmeyer’s program of research focuses on identifying effective prevention and intervention strategies for children with disruptive behavior problems and promoting positive youth development and family relationships.  Dr. Boxmeyer oversees the implementation of research on the Coping Power program at the Center for the Prevention of Youth Behavior Problems at UA and trains school and mental health professionals to implement cognitive behavioral interventions with children and families.
